Nova Type Foundry

Artigo Font

+

Artigo is an old-style inspired typeface system for text. Inspired by the handwriting style of the first roman types, this typeface brings a contemporary touch to an older aesthetic and is best suited to small text with big personality. Artigo's italics capture a dynamic feeling and give an expressive, hand-written quality.

This project started at the University of Reading while attending the MA Typeface Design in 2011. Since, it has grown into an extensive typeface system which now supports Greek and Cyrillic. The Greek version even won the second prize of the Granshan Awards in 2011!
