Fayte is a blackletter typeface inspired by the minuscule characters of textura quadrata calligraphy. However, Fayte makes several modern departures from tradition to create a contemporary feel. The uppercase letters adopt a more conservative structure that harmonizes with the lowercase letters, moving away from the ornate look typically associated with blackletter fonts.

The x-height is slightly elevated beyond the traditional proportions of textura quadrata, and the width is subtly condensed, giving Fayte a strong vertical presence while retaining the classic blackletter essence. This unique combination results in a typeface that is both timeless and modern, perfect for a wide range of design applications.
