Oggle

Oggle

Oggle comes from an antiquarian book shop in windy, grey northern England. Until it went on a plane, it lived in the book ‘Canny Newcastle: Some scattered threads of a romantic story collected and tied in a bunch’ by Paul J Brown, published by Bealls Ltd in 1929.

It took some severe polishing, some soft unbending, and a careful proposal of new visual directions to tailor Oggle into the typeface it is today. But now, as a beautifully digitised homage to the past, there’s no doubt it’ll be grabbing people’s attention. Oggle is perfect for bold headlines and creating a distinct, playful atmosphere.
