Pestifero is a contemporary humanist serif typeface, it’s a nostalgic research for beauty in a post-pandemic world, linking different times that have been afflicted with the same troubles. The idea starts from the book Informatione del pestifero et contagioso morbo printed in 1576, the shapes are also influenced by the Renaissance works of different masters. The aim is not to create a historically accurate typeface nor to follow any specific source, but instead to design a contemporary font, freely following the aesthetical values of classical typography.
