Addressing the issue of female visibility within type design, Good Girl is a display typeface which explores the occupation of space both in typographic form and political expression. The family of three weights is designed to cover space in various creative ways, where both regular and condensed weights can co-exist in fun and unique compositions. The small twenty-unit counters and narrow spacing, consistent throughout the family, enhance the compact and dense nature of Good Girl and ensure maximum coverage on the page or screen.
It’s kind of like the typographic equivalent of poking fun at manspreading. Its loud, heavy presence harks back to Guerrilla Girls prints and protest art and grabs attention with a playful bubblegum pink; striking a deliberate contrast between social standards of demure femininity and its anything-but-demure presence.
